The special sauce that separates a McDonald's Big Mac from the rest is finally available for sale on its own - but only in Australia, and only for a limited time. The sauce is proving to be a fundraising success across the Tasman, with a 500ml bottle being auctioned on Ebay attracting a bid of A$23,100 ($NZ24,666) by mid-morning Tuesday, and with more than eight days still left in the auction. According to McDonald's Australia, the bottle is one of only 200 bottled half-litres in the world, and all proceeds from the sale will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia. Those Australians who find that too rich for their blood have a chance to buy a 25ml tub of the sauce for 50c from McDonald's outlets. But fans have to be quick - the tubs went on sale yesterday, and each of the company's 920 Australian stores have only 600 each. Big Mac sauce will also be available - in return for a tweet - from a vending machine travelling through Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this month.
